Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern all reservations made through the GateLink platform. By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms in full.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing the GateLink website and completing a reservation, you ("the Guest") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and any property-specific house rules communicated at or before check-in.
If you are making a reservation on behalf of a group, you are responsible for ensuring that all members of your party are aware of and comply with these terms. The lead guest assumes full responsibility for the reservation.
GateLink reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking confirmation governs your reservation.
2. Reservations
A reservation is confirmed only when you receive a booking confirmation from GateLink to your registered email address. Until that confirmation is issued, no binding contract exists between the Guest and GateLink.
- Availability displayed on the platform is updated in real time but is not guaranteed until a reservation is confirmed
- GateLink reserves the right to decline or cancel a reservation at its discretion, in which case any payment received will be fully refunded
- The Guest must be at least 21 years of age to make a reservation and must be present at check-in
- The number of guests occupying the property must not exceed the maximum capacity stated in the property listing
- Reservations are non-transferable; the lead guest named at checkout must be the primary occupant
3. Payment
All rates displayed on the GateLink platform are in Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) unless otherwise stated. Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless explicitly shown as exclusive.
Payment methods
GateLink accepts payment via the methods listed at checkout. All payment transactions are processed through certified, PCI-compliant third-party payment gateways. GateLink does not store card details on its servers.
Payment schedule
- Full payment may be required at the time of booking, depending on the property and booking terms displayed at checkout
- Instalment or deferred payment options, where offered, will be clearly stated prior to confirmation
- Failure to complete payment within the specified timeframe may result in automatic cancellation of the reservation
Currency and charges
If your payment method is issued in a currency other than KWD, your bank or card issuer may apply foreign exchange fees. GateLink is not responsible for any such charges. The amount displayed at checkout in KWD is the amount GateLink will collect.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation policies vary by property and are displayed on the property listing page and at checkout before payment is made. Guests are advised to review the applicable policy carefully before completing a reservation.
Standard cancellation terms
- Free cancellation period: Where offered, cancellations made within the free cancellation window will receive a full refund of any amount paid
- Partial refund period: Cancellations made after the free cancellation window but before a specified date may receive a partial refund as stated in the property's policy
- Non-refundable bookings: Reservations marked as non-refundable at the time of booking are not eligible for any refund upon cancellation, regardless of the reason
How to cancel
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to bookings@gatelink.com or through the Guest Portal. The cancellation is effective from the date GateLink receives and acknowledges the request.
Refund processing
Approved refunds will be returned to the original payment method within 7–14 business days, subject to your bank's processing times. GateLink is not responsible for delays caused by financial institutions.
No-show policy
A guest who fails to arrive on the check-in date without prior cancellation will be treated as a no-show. No refund will be issued for no-shows, and GateLink reserves the right to release the property for the remaining booked nights.
5. Check-in and check-out
- Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM. Standard check-out time is 12:00 PM (noon), unless otherwise agreed in writing
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability and may incur an additional charge
- The lead guest must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in. GateLink may require a copy for security and regulatory compliance purposes
- A refundable security deposit may be collected at or before check-in. The deposit amount and conditions for its return will be stated in your booking confirmation
- Keys, access cards, or entry codes must be returned or deactivated at the time of check-out. Loss of access materials may result in a replacement charge deducted from the security deposit
6. Guest conduct and responsibilities
Guests are expected to treat GateLink properties with care and respect. By accepting a reservation, the lead guest takes on full responsibility for the conduct of all occupants and visitors during the stay.
- The property must be used for residential purposes only. Commercial use, events, or gatherings beyond the stated guest capacity are strictly prohibited without prior written consent
- Guests must not engage in any activity that causes nuisance or disturbance to neighbours, building management, or other guests
- Smoking is prohibited inside all GateLink properties unless explicitly stated otherwise in the property listing. Violations may result in cleaning fees charged to the guest
- Pets are permitted only in properties where this is expressly noted in the listing. Unauthorised pets may result in additional cleaning charges and early termination of the stay
- Any damage to the property, fixtures, fittings, or furnishings caused by the guest or their visitors must be reported to GateLink immediately. The cost of repair or replacement will be charged to the guest
- GateLink reserves the right to terminate a reservation without refund if guests are found to be in serious breach of these terms or applicable law
7. Property condition and maintenance
GateLink takes reasonable care to ensure all properties are clean, well-maintained, and accurately described on the platform. In the unlikely event that a property does not meet the standard described, guests must notify GateLink within 24 hours of check-in.
GateLink will endeavour to resolve the issue promptly, including by offering an alternative property of equal or higher standard where one is available. Complaints raised after check-out or after the 24-hour window may not be eligible for remedial action or compensation.
Periodic maintenance and inspections may be required during longer stays. GateLink will provide reasonable notice before any such access, except in cases of emergency.
8. Liability
GateLink is not liable for:
- Loss or damage to personal property belonging to the guest or their party during the stay
- Injury, illness, or accident occurring on the property, except where caused directly by GateLink's negligence
- Service interruptions beyond GateLink's reasonable control, including utility outages, internet disruption, or force majeure events
- Actions or omissions of third parties, including payment processors, transport providers, or building management
Where GateLink is found liable, its total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Guest for the relevant reservation.
9. Force majeure
GateLink shall not be in breach of these Terms, nor liable for any delay or failure to perform obligations, where such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of God, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, public health emergencies, or natural disasters.
In such circumstances, GateLink will use reasonable efforts to notify affected guests and offer alternative dates or a credit, where practically possible. Refunds in force majeure situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
10. Intellectual property
All content on the GateLink platform — including photographs, descriptions, logos, and design elements — is the property of GateLink or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this platform without prior written permission.
11. Privacy
The collection and use of personal information in connection with your reservation is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions. By making a reservation, you confirm that you have read and accepted our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Kuwait. Any dispute arising from or in connection with a GateLink reservation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuwait.
Before initiating any formal proceedings, guests are encouraged to contact GateLink directly to resolve the matter informally. Most issues can be addressed promptly by reaching our guest support team at support@gatelink.com.
